Open Call for Brunswick Town Histories, Narratives and Artefacts

I am a sound artist and PhD researcher working within the heritage sector, in partnership with The Regency Town House and locative mobile audio application Echoes. I am beginning my first stages of audio content design towards the creation of a mobile immersive audio experience in Brunswick Square, Brighton & Hove. I would love to receive any histories, narratives, manuscripts, photos and artefacts associated with the historical area of Brunswick Town.

I welcome any contributions on this area, I am excited to learn more about the experiences of those who lived, worked or visited here, and would love to include those who want to be involved in the early stages of my design process.

There will be an online materials discussion workshop on the evening of the 18th March 2021, where those who want to be involved in person can come along and have an opportunity to informally present their narratives and artefacts to other contributors, and open discussions surrounding the inclusion of these materials in an immersive mobile soundwalk experience.

Please contact A.Edmonds@brighton.ac.uk to share any contributions, or if you have any further questions. I am excited to hear your stories!
